Aviation rewards planning, but it also demands the judgment to change a plan. Weather, a technical concern or simple uncertainty can make patience the better decision.
For a younger pilot, external pressure can feel louder than the evidence in front of them. Good judgment means continuing to gather information while remembering that a delay can be explained and recovered from; a rushed decision may not be so forgiving.
